The Clark Music Co. temporarily moves from 116 N. Main St. to 125 N. Main St., following yesterday's fire which badly damaged the interior of the building; practically all of the retail stock of the company on hand was badly damaged.
Local offices of the Missouri Pacific Railroad will be moved Saturday to a new depot at Independence and Frederick streets; all work on the new building, with the exception of some interior work and installation of furnishings, has been completed.
The government's river fleet is now located on this side of the Mississippi River near Cape Rock; it is preparing to protect the banks on the Missouri side of the river from washing away, as there is a new channel forming.
Henry Siemers, who recently decided to move to Cape Girardeau where his son is in business, has purchased two houses and their lots just north of the Lutheran church; W.F. and W.E. Koerber have purchased the third place north of the church.
