The new Trinity Lutheran Church at North Frederick and Themis streets in Cape Girardeau will be dedicated the afternoon of May 1, which will begin a week of dedication events for the $2.5 million facility.

Because of the severe rains of the last two days, the Frisco Railroad is having considerable trouble on the line between Cape Girardeau and St. Louis again; yesterday, there were one or two slides of earth toward the river; last night, part of a trestle spanning a creek about 50 miles from St. Louis went out with the onrushing water.
The basket factory at Cape Girardeau is running at night, and a force of more than 100 people is employed; the wheelbarrow factory is enjoying similar prosperity.
