Amendment to city ordinance regarding collection of milk is read and discussed at special session of city council; no action is taken, however, the council saying that County Sanitarian Marvin Campbell should be present for added discussion; ordinance would be amended to provide for more sanitary transportation of milk.
With what is believed to be longest tow on record, Steamer Missouri passes upstream at 8 a.m., headed for St. Louis from New Orleans; tow is 1,690 feet in length and includes five barges of semi-integrated type; the Missouri is owned by Inland Waterways.

Concrete for second floor of Marquette Hotel, Fountain Street and Broadway, is being poured; workers have been busy for several days erecting forms for this floor and putting in steel reinforcements.
