In a reorganizational plan announced by Southeast Missouri State University president Dr. Bill W. Stacy, Dr. Betty F. Fulton, vice president for finance services at Southeast, will become university vice president for business and finance; the promotion follows the announcement of the retirement of Dr. A.R. Meyer, vice president for administrative services.
June M. Collier, an East Prairie, Mo., native who took over a small business and soon became president and chief executive officer of National Industries Inc., is commencement speaker at Southeast Missouri State University.
With the exception of property custodian, the entire slate of officers has been re-elected to serve another year for the Southeast Missouri District Fair Board; officers are D.D. Cleeton of Cape Girardeau, president; LaRoy Roper of Cape Girardeau, vice president; Frank Steck of Benton, Mo., secretary; and Ben Kight of Advance, Mo., treasurer and statistician; elected property custodian is Judge R.S. Cunningham of Cape Girardeau, a new member of the board.
The Woodland School of Lutesville-Marble Hill, Mo., is closed for the remainder of the week after one out of four of its students is stricken by influenza; other immediate area schools and those in Cape Girardeau report only normal absenteeism due to early winter colds.

Lester Rhodes has sold his Good Hope Street Cafe, 616 Good Hope St., to Robert Niemeyer and Louis Suedekum; Niemeyer and Suedekum recently sold their cafe at 629 Good Hope St. to Roscoe O'Connell.
Fredricka Philomine Stolte, wife of Christopher Stolte, died yesterday here; she was born in Germany, Feb. 18, 1828; her father, Henry Kestermann, was a survivor of the battle of Waterloo.
The Wednesday Club has arranged with Dr. Ivan Lee Holt to repeat his lecture on Franz Liszt on Friday at the Normal School auditorium; Holt recently gave the talk before the Wednesday Club in St. Louis.
