The First Independent Assembly of God Revival Center has moved from its former location at 901 S. Fountain St., to 1002 N. Main St.; the pastor is the Rev. J.C. Hensley.

DEXTER, Mo. -- Dr. R.A. Ritter of Cape Girardeau was elected to serve his second term as president of the Southeast Missouri Boy Scout Council at the annual meeting here yesterday.

75 years ago: Nov. 24, 1934

Work begins on clearing a site at the northwest corner of the South Sprigg Street-Jefferson Avenue intersection for the construction of a new gasoline filling station for the Mid-Continent Petroleum Corp.; an old station and a barn are being torn down to make room for the new building.

It seemed like every person who ever pretended to be a football booster for State College teams came to the game at Houck Stadium yesterday, and brought his neighbor along; the cheering and shivering crowd filled the big stadium.

100 years ago: Nov. 24, 1909

The basketball team of Company K meets its second defeat at the hands of the Cape Girardeau high school team; the military boys play a good game, but loose to the school kids 60-14 in a game played at the Normal School gymnasium; money raised through attendance charges will benefit the high school.

R.J. Kellogg, who is building the Portland cement plant at Cape Girardeau, leaves in the evening for Tacoma, Mo., to visit his daughters who are in school there.
