Some major changes have been announced for Coca-Cola Bottling Co.'s operations in Southeast Missouri following purchase of local plants by Coca-Cola Enterprise of Atlanta, Ga.

White coattails of raging winter storm that paralyzed much of northern half of nation swirled into Cape Girardeau area late last night, dumping about three inches of snow on ground by noon and promise of about inch more before tomorrow.

Boy Scout organization in district has surpassed its goal of reaching 1,000 new boys in four-month Round-up; from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, organization enrolled 1,046 new boys in scouting and formed 22 new units.

News has been received of recent death at Minneapolis, Minn., of Nick Heisserer, 78, former Scott County merchant and one of three surviving members of original Antone Heisserer family.
