It is announced in Jefferson City that one of series of two-day schools for instructors in fire and police services under civil defense setup will be held in Cape Girardeau, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Jefferson City - Bill No. 1, of Missouri's 54th General Assembly, is introduced in House of Representatives; it is Gov. Sam A. Baker's proposal for separate educational fund for sole support of education in state.
Charleston - Row in congregation of Charleston Baptist church over question of retaining present minister has resulted in withdrawal of 100 members, who will likely form new church with present minister as pastor; minister is the Rev. S.W. Driggers.
