In a concentrated move in which members of the department, city officials, State Highway Patrol officers and others who will occupy space in the building take part, the Cape Girardeau Police Department is moved from its old station at Independence and Frederick streets to its new headquarters at Independence and Sprigg during the night; the renovated building formerly housed Grace Methodist Church.
SIKESTON, Mo. -- The new senior high school here will be built on a 42 1/2 acre site in the east central section of Sikeston; initially, it will house 600 pupils, although provisions for expansion to 1,000 or more students are part of the plans; the plant will consist of five campus-style one-story buildings.

Members of Trinity Lutheran Church held New Year's Eve services yesterday evening and New Year's Day services this morning; the Rev. August Wilder, pastor, preached on "The Lord, Our Keeper" last night and "The Baptism of Christ" today.
