Nothdurft and Mary Elizabeth "Louella" Rhodes were married Aug. 28, 1947, in Cape Girardeau.

They have three daughters, Beverly Wiedefeld of Jackson, Dixie (Randy) Davie and Patti (Ronnie) Eftink of Gordonville.

They have eight grandchildren, Heather Wiedefeld (Casey) Smith, Whitney Wiedefeld (Todd) Conklin, Erin Wiedefeld, Ryan (Rhiannon) Davie, Sara Davie (Brandon) Bradshaw, Rodney Eftink, Laura Eftink, and Katy Eftink (Matt) Bollinger. The couple also has eight great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Tyson Smith; Morgan, Meredith and Miley Conklin; Regan Davie; Andrew Eftink; and Shelby Bollinger.
