Mooney - 60 years

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Mooney of Marble Hill celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner Sept. 6, 2009, at Red Lobster.

Mooney and Jean Brewer were married Sept. 3, 1949, in Pocahontas, Ark., by a justice of the peace.

He taught vocational agriculture 29 years. Mrs. Mooney taught 26 years at Woodland School in Marble Hill.

The Mooneys have two children, Teri Brake of Farmington, Mo., and Tami Jansen of Hillsboro, Mo. They have four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
