Michael - 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Robert "Bob" C. Michael Jr., of Commerce, Missouri, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 1.

Their daughters, Rhonda (Don) Painton of Painton, Missouri, and Leslie (Jade) Michael of Jackson, and grandsons, Michael (Dirk) C. Painton of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Marcus (Kathy) D. Painton of Cape Girardeau, hosted the special celebration at Celebrations in Cape Girardeau.

Bob, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. Charles Michael of Benton, Missouri, and Sandra "Sonnie" K. Cotner, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil J. Cotner of Cape Girardeau, were married March 1, 1959, at Maple Avenue Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. David Finley performed the ceremony.

Bob and Sonnie were fortunate to spend their entire married life farming in the Benton-Commerce area and still reside on the Commerce farm.
