Mr. and Mrs. Lewis McNeely of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner and reception June 9, 2006.
The event was held at Heartland Banquet Hall in Jackson, hosted by their children.
McNeely and Shirley Pierce were married June 9, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills, by the Rev. K. Boetcher.
Their attendants were Carolyn Thompson, Betty Fornkohl, Joyce Vines, Mary Friese, Diana Barnes, Reginia Haman, Junior Lueder, David Hengst, Alan Farrow, and the late George and Russell McNeely.
McNeely is retired from Lone Star Industries Inc.
Their children and spouses are Roberta (Jerry) LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, Douglas (Carmen) McNeely and Daryl (Nancy) McNeely of Jackson.
They have eight grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Stewart of Cape Girardeau, Lauren and Ty LeGrand of Jackson, Tyler McNeely of Jonesboro, Ark., Drue, Whitney, Leslie and Lyndsay McNeely, all of Jackson; and two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Smith and Tucker Stewart of Cape Girardeau.
