McGintys to mark 60 years

Dr. and Mrs. Charles P. McGinty of Cape Girardeau will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family reception Nov. 16.

The event will be held at the home of a son, Charles P. "Chuck" McGinty Jr. of Cape Girardeau.

The McGintys were married Nov. 20, 1943.

Mrs. McGinty was a teacher before the couple started a family. Dr. McGinty is a founder of Doctors Park and has authored three books.

The couple has five children: Becky Richey and Chuck McGinty of Cape Girardeau, Jane Courter of St. Louis, Frank McGinty and Margaret Yates of Cape Girardeau. They have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
