Maevers together 25 years

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Maevers of Jackson recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in a sunset setting on a beach in Kauai, Hawaii. A Hawaiian priestess performed the traditional Hawaiian ceremony, with the couple's children participating.

Maevers and Deb Boyer were married Oct. 14, 1978, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He is the son of Lester and Ruth Maevers, and she is the daughter of Otto and Janet Boyer, all of Jackson.

The couple has five children, Kyleigh, Landon, Trey, Hailey and A.J. Maevers.
