Maevers and Reva Boyer were married Aug. 3, 1971, at Hanover Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Ellis Rottman. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Blumer.

The Maevers have four children, Debbie (Jerry) Workman, Barbara (Bill) Tedder of Whitewater, Brady (Glenda) Maevers of Altenburg, and Janet Maevers of St. Louis. They have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
