Mr. and Mrs. Tom Leggett of Cape Girardeau are observing their 40th wedding anniversary today.
A reception was held July 31 at Maple United Methodist Church. Hosts were their children, Jason Leggett of Columbia, Mo., Cameron (Susie) Leggett of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Tristan Leggett of Cape Girardeau; and a family friend, Eric Brunson of Columbia.
Leggett and Flossie Miner were married Aug. 1, 1970, at Maple United Methodist Church, by the Revs. Theodore Propst and Lester Butler. Leggett is the son of the late Chester and Pat Niswonger. Mrs. Leggett is the daughter of the late Ernest and Frances Miner.
Their attendants were Helen Miner, sister of the bride; Daphna Seabaugh Fiehler; Dan Niswonger, brother of the groom; and Bruce Green.
