Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Kogge of Cape Girardeau celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a surprise luncheon and reception Sept. 9, 2007, at the River's Edge. Hosts were their children.
Kogge and Patricia A. "Trish" Sullivan were married Oct. 19, 1957, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Wheaton, Ill. Their attendants were Mary Kay Sullivan, sister of the bride, and Donald Kogge, brother of the groom.
The Kogges have four children, Dennis (Noriko) Kogge of Seattle, Wash., Mary (Scott) Richards and Dianne (Paul) Roth of Cape Girardeau, and Eileen (Tony) Spratt of Eureka, Mo.
They have 10 grandchildren, Nathan, Justin and Francis Kogge of Seattle, Kate (Jared) Reeves of Jackson, Megan Richards, Patricia and Jacquelyn Roth, all of Cape Girardeau, Ryan, Kyle and Shannon Spratt of Eureka.
Kogge is a semi-retired professional land surveyor. Mrs. Kogge was formerly registrar at Southeast Missouri State University, and currently volunteers and substitutes at Alma Schrader School.
