Kesters observe 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kester of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 11, 2004, at New Bethel Baptist Church at Fruitland. The couple renewed their vows, with John Rhodes conducting the ceremony.

About 90 guests attended the ceremony and dinner.

Kester and Ruth Myer were married Dec. 11, 1954.

Kester retired from General Motors in Wentzville, Mo. She retired from Sears in St. Ann, Mo.

The couple has two children, Doris Conaway of Bridgeton, Mo., and Diane Pair of Jackson. They also have four grandchildren, Jessica Conaway; and Jeromy, Christy and Michael Pair.
