Kester - 55 years & Brown - 55 years

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kester and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Brown of Jackson celebrated their 55th wedding anniversaries Dec. 11, 2009, at the home of the Browns.

Kester and Ruth Myer and Brown and Wilma Phillips were married Dec. 11, 1954, at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas. The Rev. Glen Cummings performed the ceremony.

The Kesters have two daughters, Diane Pair of Jackson and Doris Conaway of St. Louis. They have four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Browns have two children, Dennis Brown of Oak Ridge and Debbie Welker of Jackson. They have four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
