Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kagle of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 19, 2008, at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Hosts were their daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Carroll Williams of Cape Girardeau, and Karla and the Rev. David Liebherr of Waukesha, Wis.
The couple repeated their vows, with the Rev. Glen Graham officiating. Mrs. Kagle was escorted by her daughters. Lance Ferrell of Chicago sang a song he wrote for his grandparents. The couple's daughters and a granddaughter, Ellen Liebherr Kirby, also sang a song. Their attendants were Glenna Hays, cousin of Mrs. Kagle, and Jerry Brantley. Hays was a junior bridesmaid and Brantley was best man when the couple was married.
Out-of-town guests attended from Vicksburg, Nesbit and Southaven, Miss.; Blytheville, Osceola and Jonesboro, Ark.; Illinois; and Waukesha.
Kagle and Mary Ann Duncan were married June 8, 1958, at First Assembly of God Church in Chaffee, Mo., with the Revs. R.C. Wetzel and William Marshall performing the ceremony.
Kagle is the son of the late William "Bill" and Floye Kagle of Scott City. Mrs. Kagle is the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruby Duncan of Chaffee.
The couple has 14 grandchildren.
