Jansen -- 73 years

Leon and Bernice Jansen of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on Jan. 13, 2016, with immediate family at Chateau Girardeau.

Jansen and the former Bernice Dirnberger were married Jan. 13, 1943, at St. Denis School in Benton, Missouri. Their attendants were Herman Jansen and Lavern Wilhelm.

The couple has four children: the (late Leonard) and Joyce Jansen of Cape Girardeau; Larry and Loretta Jansen and Jerry and Linda Jansen, all of Jackson; and Jim and Stacy Jansen of St. Louis. The couple also has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
