James to mark 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. James of Table Rock Lake, Mo., will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 29, 2005. A celebration will be held at a later date.

James and Janis Pierce were married Jan. 29, 1955, in Sikeston, Mo., by the Rev. E.D. Owens.

They are formerly of Cape Girardeau. He was a teacher in Jackson eight years, and then was a school administrator 26 years in Illinois and Missouri. Mrs. James was a teacher 18 years in Missouri, including Cape Girardeau School District.

The couple has four children, John (Connie) Tucker II, Denise (Dan) Fiala, Jeannine (Tim) Medlin, all of Springfield, Mo., and Tanya Hunter of Walnut Grove, Mo. They have nine grandchildren.
