Carolyn and Larry D. Hoffmeister of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15. They celebrated at their son, Ron and Chris Hoffmeister's home, in Wappapello, Missouri, and by spending a few days in Branson, Missouri.

The couple were married in 1965 at First Baptist Church in Jackson. The service was conducted by the Rev. Harry Hunt, and the pianist was Delmar Crites with vocals by Carolyn Seabaugh. Attendants were Hazel Williams Reid, Gaye Williams Swan, Cheryln Hoffmeister Landgraf, Donna Cox Woods, Jack L. Hoffmeister, L.R. Williams, Jerry Ford and Dale Davault. Tammy Hoffmeister was the flower girl and Linda Hoffmeister Hoffman attended the guestbook.

Carolyn's maiden name was Carolyn K. Williams. She's the daughter of Lawrence and Vida Williams.

Larry is the son of the late Dorothy Delaney, the late Oscar Hoffmeister and Betty Hoffmeister of Jackson.

Together they have two sons, Ron (Chris) Hoffmeister and Mark Hoffmeister; six grandchildren, Lance (Cara) Hoffmeister, Josh (Kristin) Hoffmeister, Zach (Genny) Hoffmeister, Alex (Marissa) Hoffmeister, Morgan Hoffmeister and Megan Hoffmeister; and three great-grandchildren, Ali, Jonny and Rose, with a fourth on the way, Lexie.
