Hoffmans married 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hoffman of New Wells celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a luncheon reception June 12, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells. Hosts were their children and grandchildren.

Hoffman and Mildred Wallman were married June 12, 1955, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas by the late Rev. Robert Jank. He is the son of the late Benjamin and Edna Hoffman, and she is the daughter of the late Aaron and Hilda Wallman.

Members of the wedding party were Ruben Hoffman and Verna Koenig, Harold Heise and Ruby Heise, and the late Ernst Wallman and Lloyd Schuessler.

Their children and spouses are: Wanda Hoffman of Dover, N.H., Wayne and Sandy Hoffman of Oak Ridge, Wesley and Becky Hoffman of New Wells, Wade and Julie Hoffman of Shawneetown, and Wendy and Mike Aufdenberg of Tilsit. They have eight grandchildren, Justin and Meredith Hoffman, Kelsey Hoffman, Lance and Larissa Hoffman, Morgan Bangert, and Ryan and Cody Aufdenberg.
