Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Leon Hahs of Daisy recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the home of a daughter, Sharon Bogenpohl.
Hahs and Betty Fronabarger were married April 29, 1945, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, by the Rev. Lee Cook.
Their attendants were Dorenda Hahs Haupt, sister of the groom, and Virgil Henry.
The couple has four children, Sharon (Leonard, deceased) Bogenpohl, Charlotte (Larry) Ludwig, Darrell (Janet) Hahs, and Robert (Loeta) Hahs.
They have nine grandchildren, David Bogenpohl, Sheri (Jody) Ponder, Terry Bogenpohl, Rick Ludwig, Lori Eddings, Darren (Melonie) Hahs, Erin Hahs, Burton Hahs, and Linden (Matt) White. They have five great-grandchildren, Devin and Reagan Ponder, Alexis and Ashland Eddings, and Cohen Hahs.
Mrs. Hahs worked 27 years in the Cape Girardeau County clerk's office, retiring in December 1972. Hahs was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army July 29, 1946. He then farmed with his father until 1963, when the Hahs purchased the family farm where they reside. He farmed full time until he retired.
They are members of the United Methodist Church in Daisy.
