Hager - 50 Years

Dr. and Mrs. Harold Hager of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house July 16, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Cape Girardeau.

Hosts were their daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Karl Kunc of Burke, Va., and Kim and Spencer Train of Missouri City, Texas, and grandchildren, Katy and Keenan Kunc of Burke.

Hager and Jeanine Binger were married July 16, 1961, at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church in St. Louis, by the Rev. Karl Ziegler.

Members of the wedding party attending were maid of honor, Virderie Kaminska of Port Charlotte, Fla., sister of the bride; best man, Weldon Hager of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom; and junior bridesmaid, Joyce Seabaugh of Gordonville.

The Hagers are retired -- he from the mathematics department of Southeast Missouri State University, and she from the faculty at Trinity Lutheran School.
