Green - 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Green of Millersville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception June 5, 2010, at Little Whitewater Baptist Church in Patton, Mo.

Hosts were their children, Kevin (Janice) Green of Millersville and Elaine (Jim) Childers of Sedgewickville, and Ima Jo Barks, sister of Mr. Green.

Green and Vivian Sanders were married June 4, 1960, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fredericktown, Mo., by the Rev. L.A. Davis. Their attendants were Erma Sander Graham and Lester Barks.

He retired from Procter & Gamble in 1994. Mrs. Green retired from Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department in 1995.

The couple has four grandchildren, Brandon and Landon Thompson of Sedgewickville, and Cody and Logan Green of Millersville.
