Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Glueck of Cape Girardeau recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a luncheon and reception at Delmonico's in Jackson.

Glueck and the former Dorothy Koenig were married June 20, 1959, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon, Mo., by the Rev. Quintin Hahn. The reception and dance was held at St. Lawrence Hall in New Hamburg, Mo.

Their attendants were Betty Horrell DeBrock, Wilma DeBrock Horrell, Jim Welter, Bill Kern, Elmer Koenig, and the late Janetta Koenig.

Glueck is the son of Cyrilla Glueck and was adopted by the late Ewald and Mary Schindler. Mrs. Glueck is the daughter of the late Tony and Rose Koenig.

The couple has a son and daughter-in-law, Danny "Louie" and Lynette Glueck of Jackson.

The Gluecks lived in New Hamburg and operated Schindler's Tavern until 1987 when they moved to Cape Girardeau. He retired from Southeast Missouri Hospital in 2008. She is employed at Franklin School.
