Gibson - 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Donald Gibson of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner Sept. 6, 2008, at Drury Lodge.

Hosts were their sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Patty Gibson of Elgin, Ill., Brian and Nancy Gibson of Davenport, Fla.; and a grandson, Hayden Gibson of Elgin.

Gibson and Shirley Baker were married Sept. 6, 1958, at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau, by the late Rev. E.C. Mount. Their attendants were Mrs. Howard Poelker, sister of Mrs. Gibson, and Lyle Gibson, brother of Gibson.
