Mr. and Mrs. Donald Froemsdorf of Knoxville, Tennessee, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by hosting a family dinner May 29 at Riverside Restaurant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Donald and Joy Kasten were married May 29, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, by the Rev. Wilbert Koenig.

Their attendants were Ruth Rasche, sister of Joy; Dolores Froemsdorf, sister of Donald; Ann Isaac, Tommie Oxford, Mary Jo Feverston, Richard Story, Darrell Brown, Robert Rasche, John Peart, Robert Cotner and James Noland.

Joy received a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She was a teacher at Clippard Elementary and the university. Donald received a Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He taught 30 years at Southeast, where he was professor of chemistry and dean of the College of Science and Technology.

The couple has a daughter, Dawn (James) Roberts of Powell, Tennessee.
