Friedrich and Maxine Blumenberg were married June 3, 1956, at Zion Church. He is a retired carpenter, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Their children and spouses are Emily and Kevin Mandry of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Allen and Cindy Friedrich of Jackson.

They have six grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriel and Peter Mandry, and Joshua, Caleb and Noel Friedrich.
