MORLEY, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. William Darrell Dollins celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 29, 2005, with a surprise dinner and reception at the VFW Hall in Morley.

Hosts were their daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Kenny Newell of Patton, Mo., and Donna and Brian McMillan of Jackson.

Dollins and Ina Mae Russell were married Oct. 29, 1955, in Corinth, Miss., by Judge Reuble Phillips. Their attendants were Vesta and Van Dollins.

They have six grandchildren, Nick (Marie) Mansker of Texas, Ben (Tina) Mansker of North Carolina, Geoff Mansker of Texas, all serving in the military; Julee Higgins of Scott City, Summer Smith of Cape Girardeau, and Danielle Lefler of Bloomfield, Mo. They have three great-grandchildren, Tristan and Trinity Mansker of Texas, and Matthew Higgins of Scott City.

The Dollins lived in Riverside, Calif., and Buhl, Idaho, before retiring and moving back to Missouri in 1988. He was a professional carpenter, and she was a beautician, riverboat cook, and rental property manager. They also owned and operated Morley Cafe several years.
