Davis couple wed 70 years
ORAN, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis of Oran observed their 70th wedding anniversary Feb. 18, 2005. Davis and the former Mary E. Buell were married Feb. 18, 1935, in Etowah, Ark., by the Rev. Brent Shawl. The couple has 10 children, Leon Davis of Delta, La., Peggy Lape and Jane Swain of Chaffee, Mo., Bill Davis of Valrico, Fla., Glenn Davis and Janice Franklin of Oran, Lavern Warren of Greenwood, Mo., Mary Lou Penhale of Grovetown, Ga., and Sue Hagan of Jacksonville, Fla. ...

The couple has 10 children, Leon Davis of Delta, La., Peggy Lape and Jane Swain of Chaffee, Mo., Bill Davis of Valrico, Fla., Glenn Davis and Janice Franklin of Oran, Lavern Warren of Greenwood, Mo., Mary Lou Penhale of Grovetown, Ga., and Sue Hagan of Jacksonville, Fla. A son, James Davis of Chaffee, is deceased.
They also have 32 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
