Darby - 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Don Darby of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise luncheon Nov. 13, 2011, held at the Waters Edge in Gordonville. Hosts were their children.

Darby and Wanda Jerls were married Nov. 11, 1961, at the Methodist Church in Essex, Mo., by the Rev. Dale Pollack. Their attendants were Donna Kay Baker and Dave Guard.

The couple has two daughters, Teresa Lynn (Jered) Brown and Deana Kay (Mark) Spence; two granddaughters, Tori and Emme; and a great-grandson, Brock, all of Cape Girardeau.
