Couple is married 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Haydn Fox of Cape Girardeau recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Fox and Norma Gibson were married Feb. 14, 1947, at Burton Heights Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.

They moved to this area in 1966 when Fox became the meteorologist in charge of the Weather Service Office in Cairo, Ill., which is now located in Paducah, Ky. He retired in 1975.

The couple has three children, Dr. Haydn Fox Jr. of Texas, Lynda Ratliff of South Carolina, and John Fox of Kennett, Mo. They have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
