Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burns of Jackson observed their 50th anniversary with an open house April 18, 2004, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Hosts were their children and spouses, Victor and Carolyn Burns, Todd and Teresa Burns, and Lynn Burns, all of Jackson.

Burns and the former Joan Nussbaum were married April 10, 1954, at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. Their attendants were Vanna Hoyt and the late Richard Peel.

Burns is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Burns. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Nussbaum.

The couple has three grandchildren, Brittany (Fred) Moore of Pocahontas, Brandi Burns and Mandie Foltz of Jackson; two stepgrandsons, Brandon and Justin Lorenz of Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Isaak Moore of Pocahontas.
