Mr. and Mrs. Earl Buchheit of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 5, 2007.
They and their family attended a Mass in their honor at St. Vincent de Paul Church, celebrated by the Rev. Dave Hulshof. A reception and dinner followed at Drury Lodge, hosted by their children.
Buchheit and Dorothy Schnurbusch were married Aug. 10, 1957, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek, Mo., by the Rev. Mitchell Deck. Their parents are Theodore and Edna Buchheit, and Joseph and Hermina Schnurbusch.
The Buchheits have four children, Glenda (Stan) Irwin of Cape Girardeau, Diane (Ron) Shipman of Oak Ridge, Mary (Todd) Beussink of Jackson, and Tim (Rhonda) Buchheit of Sikeston, Mo. They have two grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Balsman and Tyler Beussink, and two great-granddaughters, Paige and Brooke Balsman.
