Brune - 40 years

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gregory Brune of Cape Girardeau were honored with a surprise party July 19, 2008, in observance of their 40th wedding anniversary.

The celebration was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club. Hosts were their sons and spouses, Brent and Jenny Brune, Brian and Michelle Brune, and Bobby and Emily Brune, all of Cape Girardeau.

Brune and Barbara Ann Hobbs were married July 20, 1968, at Centenary United Methodist Church, by the Rev. J. Trotter. Their attendants were Carolyn Hobbs, Deanna Hobbs, Janet Pickett, Sharon Trotter, Betty Long, Debbie Young, Jim Reynold, Brad Brune, Kenny Fischer, Jim Stovall, Mark Williamson, and Mike Price.

Brune is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Brune of Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Brune is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe W. Hobbs of Cape Girardeau.

The couple has four grandchildren, Maddie, Emma Kate, Brady, and Clara Anne Brune.
