Mrs. Shands is the former Traci Patterson, daughter of Sandra Patterson of Oran, and the late Leon Patterson. She is an occupational health nurse at Rubbermaid. Shands is the son of Pauline Shands of East Prairie, Mo., and the late James Shands. He is a maintenance worker at Steward Steel Inc. in Sikeston, Mo.
