Griffith is the son of Frank and Marilyn Griffith of Granite City, Ill. He is a student, and is employed at Macy's and with the city of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department.

Rodriguez is the son of Tammy Smith of Rockview, Mo. He is a firefighter and EMT with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department.
