Mrs. Amerson is the former Cara Golightly, daughter of Nancie Golightly of Cape Girardeau and Steve Golightly of Chaffee, Mo. She is a tech with the National Guard. Amerson is the son of Cynthia Graham of Jackson and Kennith Amerson of St. Louis. He is a sheet metal fabricator with Ole Hickory Pits.

He is the son of Steven and Emily Mellies of Cape Girardeau.
