Second son. Mrs. Van de Ven is the former Cindy Cox, daughter of Sara Cox of Athens, Texas, and the late William Cox. She is a diagnostician with Plano School District. Van de Ven is director of internal audit with Southwest Airlines. He is the son of Melvin and JoAnn Van de Ven of Cape Girardeau.

Michaud

Daughter to Robert and Laura Michaud of Two Rivers, Wis., Two Rivers Hospital, Monday, Aug. 29, 1994. Name, Madlyne Sue. Weight, 8 pounds 8 ounces. First child. Mrs. Michaud is the former Laura Wilhelm, daughter of Ray and Sandy Wilhelm of Cape Girardeau. Michaud is supervisor of a feed mill in Two Rivers, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Michaud of Waukesha, Wis.

Blattel

Son to John and Donna Blattel of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 1994. Name, Casey Edwin. Weight, 9 pounds 10 ounces. Second child, first son. Mrs. Blattel is the former Donna Eldred, daughter of Keith and Nancy Eldred of Seattle, Wash. Blattel is employed by General Electric Lamp Plant in Circleville, Ohio, and is the son of Lloyd and Thelma Blattel of Scott City.

Billings

Mrs. Billings is the former Terri Eifert, daughter of Kay Eifert of Cape Girardeau and Bill Eifert of Scott City. Billings is assistant football coach at Marshall University in Huntington, and is the son of Kem and Wanda Billings of Honey Grove, Texas.

Edwards

Second child, first daughter. Mrs. Edwards is the former Marsha Vowels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Vowels of Dexter. She is owner of The Body Shoppe. Edwards is vice president of marketing for R&M Enterprises and Eagle Snacks, and is part owner of Warehouse of Leathers. He is the son of Phyllis Edwards of Cape Girardeau, and the late Ralph Edwards.
