Mrs. Clardy is the former Carrie Mayberry, daughter of Wayne and Glenda Mayberry of Jonesboro. Clardy is the son of Elbert and Shirley Clardy of Anna, Ill. He is employed at Unimin Corp. in Elco, Ill.

Carlson

Son to Chief Petty Officer Scott and Susan Carlson of Dale City, Va., Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md., 2:12 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996. Name, Grant Scott. Weight, 8 pounds 6 ounces. First child. Mrs. Carlson is the former Susan Hopen, daughter of Betty Hopen of Cape Girardeau, and the late James Hopen. Carlson is the son of Charles Carlson of Nampa, Ida., and the late Carol Carlson. He is an aviation electrician with the U.S. Navy, stationed at the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Arlington, Va.

Third child, first son. Mrs. Shell is the former Donna Sandifer, daughter of Alan and Sara Herring of El Dorado, Ark. She is a language arts teacher at Zalma R-5 Schools. Shell is the son of the late Vernon E. and Hallie Fisher Shell. He is employed at K's Merchandise in Cape Girardeau.
