Mrs. Birkman is the former Jamie Floyd, daughter of Charles and Jean Floyd of Leopold, Mo. She is a secretary at Southeast Missouri State University. Birkman is the son of William and Margaret Birkman of Advance, Mo. He is parts manager at Baker Implement Co.

Wendel

Son to Darrin Wayne and Juanita Lynn Wendel of Marble Hill, Mo., Southeast Missouri Hospital, 1:18 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001. Name, Lucas Wayne. Weight, 8 pounds 10 ounces. First child. Mrs. Wendel is the former Juanita Leazenby, daughter of Linda Leazenby and Wayne Leazenby of Marble Hill. She is a forklift operator at Custom Warehouse. Wendel is the son of Patsy Wendel and Jerry Wendel of Jackson, Mo. He is a forklift operator at Golden Products.

Second child, first daughter. Ms. Crider is the daughter of Mike and Linda Crider of Sikeston. She is employed by Dr. G. Wendell Weathers. Dowdy is the son of Shirley Kirby of Sikeston. He is employed at Carnell's Collision Repair.
