Mrs. Atkins is the former Lana Cook, daughter of Larry and Janet Cook of Whitewater. She is a speech/language pathologist at Scott County Central Schools. Atkins is the son of Jack and Bernice Atkins of Chaffee and Sid and Angie Whittington of Memphis, Tenn. He is a family and consumer science teacher at Sikeston Public Schools.

Mrs. Mirly is the former Tori Allen, daughter of Tom and Tandra Allen of Jackson. She is a teacher at R.O. Hawkins Junior High School in Jackson. Mirly is the son of Kenny and Joann Mirly of New Wells. He is a teacher and coach at Chaffee High School in Chaffee, Mo.
