Twin daughters to Erik Nathan and Melissa Gayle Harper of Jackson, Southeast Missouri Hospital, Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009. Lily Isabel was born at 7:21 a.m. and weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces. Emma Joy was born at 7:22 a.m. and weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces. The couple also has two sons. Mrs. Harper is the former Melissa Palmer, daughter of Richard and Brenda Stroer of Jackson and Dale and Mona Palmer of Raleigh, Ill. She is employed at Southeast Missouri State University. Harper is the son of Barbara Harper of Cape Girardeau. He is self-employed.

Second child, first daughter. Mrs. DeJournett is the former Laura Spears, daughter of Brad and Rosi Spears of Bell City, Mo. She is a teacher at Nell Holcomb School.
