Daughter to Jacob and Alisha Balzer of Fayetteville, N.C., 5:17 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010. Name, Jaelynn James. Weight, 6 pounds, 8 ounces. First child. Mrs. Balzer is the former Alisha Kluesner, formerly of Cape Girardeau. Balzer is stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Govreau

Daughter to Joshua Joseph and Natalie Marie Govreau of Cape Girardeau, Southeast Missouri Hospital, 10:55 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010. Name, Gracie Mae. Weight, 4 pounds, 10 ounces. Mrs. Govreau is the former Natalie Townsend, daughter of Jon and Tonyua Townsend of Cape Girardeau. She is a science teacher at Chaffee Junior/Senior High School. Govreau is the son of Joe and Joey Govreau of Farmington, Mo. He is a math teacher and boys basketball coach at Chaffee.

Mahlandt

Son to Robert Nicholas Jason and Carmen Elaine Mahlandt of Jackson, Southeast Missouri Hospital, 7:57 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010. Name, Blake Edward. Weight, 8 pounds, 12 ounces. Second son. Mrs. Mahlandt is the former Carmen Davidson, daughter of Larry and Suanne Davidson of Geneva, Ill., and Larry Stiers and Cathy Kull of St. Louis. She is a customer service representative with Chap Arnold Insurance Agency. Mahlandt is the son of Robert and Cathie Mahlandt of House Springs, Mo. He is a locomotive engineer with Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway.

Daughter to Jeffrey Jay and Tracey Lynn Cox of Jackson, Saint Francis Medical Center, 10:24 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010. Name, Whitney Lynn. Weight, 6 pounds, 9 ounces. Second daughter. Mrs. Cox is the former Tracey Stockton, daughter of Wayne and Linda Lewis of Jackson and Tom Stockton of Kiowa, Colo. She is a teacher at Jackson Junior High School. Cox is the son of Margaret Cox Bradford of Delta, and the late Lanson Cox. He is employed by Southeast Co-Op.

Ms. Pemberton is the daughter of Rebecca Mayabb of Jackson and Johnathan Pemberton of Cove, Ark. She is employed at Burger King. King is the son of Nigel King of Cape Girardeau and Jerry Adams of Thebes, Ill. He is employed at Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits.
