Ashcrafts celebrate their 40th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ashcraft of Jackson will observe their 40th wedding anniversary with a dinner party today.

The celebration will be held at the home of John and Shirley Renaud in Cape Girardeau.

Ashcraft and Alma Owens were married June 28, 1966, at the First Church of God in East Prairie, Mo.

They are a retired Marine Corps family, settling in Jackson in 1993 where they are members of First Baptist Church. During their military career, Mrs. Ashcraft taught kindergarten at various military bases. Ashcraft is currently employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Cape Girardeau.
