JACKSON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Siebert of Jackson were honored at a dinner and dance June 24, 2000, in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The event was held at the American Legion Hall and hosted by their children and grandchildren. Granddaughters Amber Pierce attended the guest book, and Cindy Wachter and Danielle Pierce sang.
Guests attended from Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Gordonville, Friedheim, Oak Ridge, Scott City, Perryville, and Fruitland in Missouri, and Knoxville, Tenn.
Siebert and Ellouise Gerecke were married June 20, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville, by the late Rev. G.B. Seboldt.
Their attendants were Mrs. Benny Campbell of Knoxville, Mrs. Paul Quade of Cape Girardeau, Harlan Siebert of Jackson, Earl Siemers of Cape Girardeau, and the late Leeman Gerecke and the late Clarence Peetz of Gordonville.
The Sieberts children and spouses are: Sharon Foster, Stephen and Kathy Siebert, Diana and James Hobeck, and Bonnie and Mike Pierce. Their grandchildren and spouses are Chuck and Pam Groshong, Brian and Kathy Strickland, Terry and Cindy Wachter, Michael Hess, Amber and Danielle Pierce. The couple has three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Maggie Groshong, and Riley Wachter.
