JACKSON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Kieninger of Jackson were honored with a buffet dinner and dance in observance of their 50th anniversary.
The event was held Nov. 18, 2000, at the American Legion Hall. Guests attended from Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Sedgewickville, Marble Hill, Perryville, and Old Appleton in Missouri; and the states of Arkansas, Washington and Montana.
Hosts were their children and spouses, Melvin and Cherrie Kieninger of Helena, Mont.; Orval, Elmer and Debbie Kieninger and Diane and Gary Laurentius, all of Jackson; and grandchildren and spouses, David and Kris Kieninger of state of Washington, Kathy Kieninger of Helena, Janna Kieninger of Cape Girardeau; Arron, Reva, Andrea and Kyle Kieninger, Tracy and Jason Towell; Jeremy, Kelli, Lisa and Daniel Laurentius, all of Jackson.
Kieninger and Elda Loennecke were married Nov. 24, 1950, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Tilsit, Mo., by the late H.J. Strickert. Their attendants were Norma Mahannah of Mountain Home, Ark., and Joe E. Loennecke of Sedgewickville.
